Register absence in the Calendar view

How to register absence directly from the calendar view.

If an employee is absent with a valid deviation code it is important that the work shift remains in their calendar for Timeplan to be able to calculate the hourly rate/from where the employee is absent. 

  • To add absence from the calendar view follow these steps:
    Go to tab Staff - chosen employee - Calendar. On the first day of the absence click on the symbol: and the absence registration box will appear:

  • Choose the correct deviation code and add the dates for which the employee will be absent. 

It is important that you do not remove the work shifts from the calendar for Timeplan to calculate the absence correctly. If an employee has a deviation code on days where there is no work shift you can leave this as Timeplan does not calculate vacation days or sick pay etc from days the employee has off. 

You can also tick/un-tick the box "Create available shift when absent whole day" if you want that work shift to show up in the Weekly overview to be covered by another employee.
