Release notes 2022-03-21

Improvements to organisational structure and user settings page. Bug fixes and general improvements.

Improvements to cost center page:

We've reimagined how the organisational structure in Timeplan should work. This means that we'll make some changes in the coming releases that'll impact how you work with your company structure.

In this release we've done the following changes to cost centers in Timeplan:
Move the field "Color" to below "Division" but above "Active"
Removed the list "User access"

This is the new structure in the menu.

Removed option to lock an admin user and to require password change on next login

Due to previous changes with how users login to Timeplan Admin we're now ready to clean up the admin user page. Two redundant features which we've removed:

  • Lock user checkbox - instead of locking users you should delete them.
  • Require password change on next login - users will be prompted to set a new password themselves when they login, and if they forget their password they can request a new one via the login page.

Note: users can still be locked if they attempt to login with an incorrect password. If a user is locked, they can unlock themselves by requesting a new password which will automatically be sent to their email.

Improved experience when trying to delete an employee

This popup is shown when a user tries to remove an employee that's on an active contract (which isn't possible - you have to set an end date to the contract first). Now instead of just showing an "OK" button, we show a "Go to contract" button which is a shortcut.

Part time absence is now shown in the "Time and accounts report"

We had a request from users that part time absence should be shown in the report to increase readability and increase the usability of the report.

Ability to prioritise which holiday to take into account when doing calculations

Sometimes (rarely) holidays such as the day after pentecost and the Swedish national day can clash. We've implemented a solution that allows the possibility to impose a ranking on holidays as they can be worth differently for different collective agreements.

General improvements and bug fixes: 🤖

  • Part of date was cut from date pickers in the shift planner
  • Text was in a weird location on the documents page
  • Sending a message from Timeplan admin caused an error when the user had selected push notifications in the app but hadn't allowed it.
  • Image on main settings on an employee had incorrect size

  • It wasn't possible to remove an end date from the shift planner
  • Removed admin users were still able to get an email with a new password (but wasn't able to login) - now an email isn't sent.
  • Removing a previously set break from the day planner resulted in 0 minutes instead of using the collective agreements calculated break
