Improvements to admin user invitation, digital signing for customers using on premise solution, bug fixes and general improvements
Our biggest release this week is an improved flow for inviting new admin users. We've removed the 'password' field which means you'll no longer be able to manually set a password for an admin user. Instead you'll be prompted to send an invite to the user.
When you click on "Send invite" the user will receive an email with a link that automatically signs the user in and prompts them to set a password (the link is clickable for 24 hours)
This change makes it easier and safer to add new admin users in Timeplan.
We've also added support for customers using an on premises solution to take part in using digital signing. If you're using an on premises hosting solution and want to activate digital signing, contact support@timeplan.se - you may need to adjust some settings in your hosting solution.
Bug fixes & general improvements:
- The iOS app showed a blank page on inactivity which meant users had to close the app and re-open it - this is fixed.
- Wrong deviation codes when using the mobile app punch clock (early and late punches were mistaken by the system in certain scenarios) - fixed
- Report page in the mobile app opened a new window if no departments were selected - fixed (now you have to select at least one department before clicking on the button).
- The setting "Allow duplicate employee numbers" didn't allow duplicate employee numbers - fixed
- The change from cost center to department also meant that certain grammatical errors were introduced - this is fixed
- The personal records were shown in a view where they shouldn't have been visible. This is now fixed.
- The notices crashed when the contact information were missing. - This is fixed.
- We've made some improvements in Safari to make it more user-friendly and easy managed
